The sensation of sore, aching feet or arch pain refers to an inflammation and burning sensation at the arch of the foot. This inflammation is due to the excessive stretching of the fibrous tissue located along the bottom surface of the foot, called plantar fascia.

Allen, what is the purpose of your comment? Is it meant as a
refutation of stretching?

Yes, you can over stretch the plantar fascia, resulting in those
symptoms...I've had plantar fasciitis myself before and have treated it numerous times with clients. However, the plantar fascia weaves into the calf muscle and the whole line of musculature on the back. When these muscles are tight they put extra strain on the plantar fascia. Stretching these muscles will take pressure off of the plantar fascia.

If you are suffering from these symptoms come in for bodywork. I have a very high success rate helping clients get over plantar fasciitis and related problems. Email me at david@bodyworksdw.com
